This library is one of the main branches of the KJM and has a separate section for children and adult readers. It is located in the building of the famous Kinokavárna, which stands in the middle of the housing estate on SNP Square. The building is surrounded by a park and a playground, and besides the library, there is also a restaurant and a community hall. The library was renovated in 2005. It actively participates in the events of the Brno-Sever district and cooperates with local kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. It organises educational programmes, actively participates in projects to promote children's reading and organises reading events for the youngest children with supervision. In the children's department you can find a range of educational toys and teaching aids and the Magic Reading (interactive talking Albi books). The library offers wi-fi connection, lends spoken word CDs, e-readers and umbrellas. A book return box is located outside the door to the building.
The branch is sponsored by the Brno-Sever district town hall in the form of a subsidy for the purchase of books.
