Horní Heršpice

The library is one of the smaller branches of the KJM and provides basic lending and information services to readers of all ages. It runs thematic programmes for kindergartens and primary schools, organises cultural and educational events for the public and participates in renown projects (e.g. A Night with Andersen). The branch's permanent book collection is enriched with spoken word CDs, 'magic reading' books, magazines, board games, toys and aids from the Lekotéka project. Since 2020, the branch has been operating in a newly renovated building adjacent to the local Culture House. It has wheelchair access, a children's play area and its premises are new and welcoming.

The branch uses an exchange fund that also offers new titles. The purchase of the exchange fund is financed from the subsidy of the South Moravian Region for the performance of regional functions of libraries in the South Moravian Region. New books are also provided by means of subsidies from the Brno South Municipality.
