Kohoutovice

Kohoutovice library is one of the largest branches of the KJM. On the ground floor there is the main area with free selection and a borrowing desk, armchairs for relaxing  in and seating for studying or working, a children's area with a carpet and playful seating, Family Point with a changing table and a chair for nursing mothers and an interactive table. The branch is wheelchair accessible. The library is connected to a terrace located in the garden with a children's playground. Upstairs there is a clubroom with an interactive whiteboard used for public events and educational programmes. We cooperate with local kindergartens and schools to whom we offer educational programmes. We are involved in the projects to promote children's reading, Bookstart and South Moravia Reads. We organise events for the public, exhibitions of artists' works or children's artwork. In addition to books and magazines, we also lend audiobooks on CD, Albi pencils and their books, games and toys. There is a book and magazine return box outside the library.

The activities of the branch are supported by the Brno-Kohoutovice district town hall.
