Komárov

This library is among one of the smaller branches of the KJM and provides basic lending and information services to readers of all ages. It provides educational programmes for primary school pupils and cultural and educational programmes for local kindergartens and schools. Since 2014, it has been part of the KJM network of automated operations. The branch is involved in the Lekotéka project (educational toys and didactic aids) and also lends audiobooks, umbrellas and glasses. Through the online catalogue, it makes articles available to readers in electronic form and allows them to borrow and download e-books. Since 1999, the library building has been located in the multi-purpose building of the Brno-Jih district town hall, in the neighbourhood of the Church of St. Giles, the oldest functioning church in Brno. The library is located on the ground floor, is wheelchair-accessible and there is also a children's corner.

The branch uses an exchange fund that also offers new titles. The purchases of the exchange fund are financed from the subsidy of the South Moravian Region for the performance of regional functions of the libraries of the South Moravian Region. Thanks to the subsidy of the Brno South City Council, the permanent collection of the branch is enriched with new titles every year.
