Líšeň

The library is one of the largest branches of the KJM with a high quality book collection, which is also widely used by visitors of other branches. Since 2003 it has been located in the building next to the Brno-Líšeň district town hall. It cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools (it implements educational programmes), actively participates in projects to promote children's reading and organises regular exhibitions and competitions for children. It also cooperates with the Effeta day-care centre, for whose clients it organises, among other things, art workshops and exhibitions of their works. The branch also offers toys and didactic aids from the Lekotéka project, CDs, umbrellas and glasses. Through an online catalogue, it provides readers with access to articles in electronic form and allows them to download and borrow e-books. There is a book box in the branch and since 2012 a Family Point with a changing table. Wheelchair access to the adult section is provided through a platform.

Thanks to regular financial contributions from the Brno-Líšeň district town hall, the branch's book collection is supplemented with new titles based on readers' requests.
