Medlánky

The library is one of the smaller branches of the KJM, located in the SC Sýpka building and provides basic lending and information services to readers of all ages. It cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools (it implements educational programmes) and besides the book collection it also offers audiobooks, e-readers, umbrellas, glasses, toys and aids from the Lekotéka project and a rich collection of board games. It organises cultural and educational events for the public and events to promote children's reading, and has a reading club for children. In 2021, it was awarded the prestigious awards of  ´Community Library of the South Moravian Region 2020´ and ´TOP Community Library of the South Moravian Region 2020´.

The activities of the branch are supported by the Brno-Medlánky Municipality.

 From 1^st  January 2023, the registration fee for children and young people up to 18 years of age and seniors over 60 years of age residing in Medlánky is paid for by the Medlánky Municipal District.

 The branch uses the exchange fund, which also offers new titles. The purchases of the exchange fund are financed from the subsidy of the South Moravian Region for the performance of regional library functions in the South Moravian Region.
