The library is one of the smallest branches of the KJM and provides basic lending and information services to readers of all ages. It is located in the premises of the Brno-Ořešín district town hall. Since 2017, it has been included in the network of automated KJM operations. It cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools, to whom it offers educational programmes. Audiobooks, didactic aids from the lecture theatre, umbrellas and glasses are also available for loan.
The branch uses an exchange fund that also offers new titles. The purchases of the exchange fund are financed from the subsidy of the South Moravian Region for the performance of regional functions of libraries in the South Moravian Region.
