The library is one of the main branches of the KJM and since 2006 it has been located in the Vysočina Shopping Centre. Due to its high quality collection, it is also widely used by visitors from other automated branches of KJM. It cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools, for whom it organises thematic talks and educational programmes, and actively participates in projects to promote children's reading. In addition to the book collection, it also offers toys and didactic aids from the Lekotéka project, audiobooks and umbrellas. It organises cultural and educational events and exhibitions for the public: talks, readings, creative activities and competitions for children, exhibitions, concerts and a Book Café for adults. It offers a home delivery service for ill or immobile seniors.
The activities of the branch are supported by the Municipality of Brno-Řečkovice and Mokrá Hora.
