Starý Lískovec

This library is one of the main branches of the KJM, located near the Albert shopping centre, and collaborates with local kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools, to whom it offers educational programmes. It also works with children with various types of disabilities (it cooperates with the special kindergarten and primary school Ibsenka and with DRC Medvídek). It actively participates in projects to promote children's reading (Bookstart, Book for the First Grader) and is involved in the Lekotéka project (toys and didactic aids). It organises cultural and educational events or exhibitions for the public and, in addition to its book collection, also offers umbrellas and glasses. The online catalogue provides readers with access to articles in electronic form and enables them to download and borrow e-books. A literary bench, Literka, is located in front of the library.

The activities of the branch are supported by the Brno-Stary Lískovec Municipality.
