The KJM Central Library has been housed in the baroque Schrattenbach Palace at Kobližná 4 since 1951. At the turn of the century the palace underwent major restoration. This was followed by an extension and reorganisation in 2014. In 2015, it was fitted with modern technology and comfortable furnishings as part of the Library for the City II - Tailored Education project. The Central Library offers a wide range of library and information services to all ages. It also serves as a community cultural and educational centre. It is connected to other premises in one automated network, to which readers only need to register once.
