Žebětín

The library is one of the smaller branches of the KJM and provides basic lending and information services to readers of all ages. It is located in the Catholic House building in the centre of the district. It cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools to whom it offers educational programmes. Since 2015 it has been part of the KJM network of automated services. It provides readers with access to articles in electronic form through an on-line catalogue. There is a children's corner for parents with children, and children can borrow toys to play with in the library or even to take home. The branch is involved in the Lekotéka project (toys and didactic aids for children with special educational needs) and also offers Albi books, spoken word CDs and umbrellas.

The activities of the branch are supported by the Brno-Žebětín district with an annual financial contribution for the purchase of books and magazines. The branch uses the exchange fund, which also offers new titles. The purchases of the exchange fund are financed from the subsidy of the South Moravian Region for the performance of regional functions of libraries in the South Moravian Region.
