Židenice

The library is one of the main branches of the KJM, located in a shopping centre near the public transport interchange and underwent extensive reconstruction in 2006. It cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools, to whom it offers educational programmes, and has long been involved in projects to promote children's reading (Bookstart, South Moravia Reads, etc.) and the Lekotéka project (toys and didactic aids). It collaborates with the ELPIS special school and is involved in the continuation of the Hand in Hand project, which is dedicated to working with children with various types of disabilities. In addition to the book collection, the branch also offers audiobooks, themed cases, umbrellas and glasses. Through the online catalogue, it makes articles available to readers in electronic form and allows them to download and borrow e-books. There is a corner for mothers with children as well as a return box, and a literary bench is located in the park near the library.
